About Us
Founded in 2021, BAYLI is a student-based organization that has welcomed 70+ members across more than 28 Bay Area high schools, stretching from Branson to Monta Vista. Our organization is comprised of students from Huffman, Lofgren, Mullin, Khanna, and Eshoo districts; altogether, we engage in policy conversations with our elected representatives through town halls to unify the youth's voice through a single, confident call for climate action.

Anoushka Tamhane
Anoushka is part of the class of 2024 at BISV. She’s the Director of BAYLI, managing policy and outreach operations. She loves working with animals and leads her school’s political and environmental team, and works with other environmental groups, especially those focused on plastics.
Paige Macy
Paige Macy is a junior at Branson High School. She is a Co-Director of Policy at BAYLI, researching and supporting state bills. Outside of BAYLI, she enjoys gardening and trail running.
Marcus Oettinger
Marcus Oettinger is a senior at Carlmont High School. He is the Co-Director of Policy at BAYLI. Outside of BAYLI, he’s a member of various environmental leadership teams and loves to read, play sports, and hang out with friends.

Axelle Allanic
Axelle is part of the class of 2025 at Los Altos High School. She is the Social Media Manager for BAYLI and is Public Relations officer for LAHS Green Team. She is also founder of the LAHS Ecology Club and is passionate about sustainability.
